OIL SEAL (Shaft seal)
An oil seal is a mechanical component that prevents the leakage of fluids such as oil or grease between a rotating shaft and a stationary housing. It also blocks the intrusion of external contaminants like dust and debris.
Also known as: Oil Retainer, Shaft Seal
Material
The material of an oil seal is selected based on the application environment and operating conditions. The lip material is typically made from the following elastomers:
-
NBR (Nitrile Rubber):
The most commonly used material, offering excellent oil resistance and wear resistance. -
FKM (Fluoroelastomer):
Known for its outstanding heat and chemical resistance; ideal for high-temperature or specialized environments. -
ACM (Acrylic Rubber):
Provides good heat and oil resistance; often used in engine oil seals. -
Silicone Rubber:
Excellent resistance to both high and low temperatures, suitable for extreme environmental conditions.
TYPE
Currently TC, TB, SB, SA, R35 type oil seals are available.
In the future, we plan to supply high-pressure seals (3 bar to 10 bar) and special oil seals.
