Fluid Compatibility Table

Material information

- Nitrile rubber (NBR) (BUNA-N)

   It has excellent resistance to petroleum fuel and lubricants and is relatively inexpensive, making it the most common and easy to obtain material.

   * Temperature range: -40℃~100℃

   * Recommended temperature: -20℃~80℃

-Hydroxylated nitrile rubber (HNBR)

   HNBR is a material with improved heat resistance, ozone resistance, and chemical resistance compared to standard nitrile rubber (NBR).

   If significant resistance to heat, crude oil, hydrogen sulfide, steam and explosive decompression (RGB) is required, special HNBR material can be used.

   * Temperature range: -40℃~150℃

   * Recommended temperature: -30℃~130℃

- Fluorocarbon (FKM, VITON, FPM)

   Fluorocarbon is the most well-known high-performance rubber, and is resistant to high temperatures, ozone, climatic conditions, oxygen, organic solvents such as mineral oil, fuel, and hydraulic oil.and

   Excellent resistance to chemicals.

   * Temperature range: -26℃~250℃

- Silicone rubber (VMQ, MQ, PVMQ)

   It has excellent heat resistance, ozone resistance, and corona resistance, and has excellent insulation properties, making it highly resistant to many types of oils and chemicals.

   However, although it is superior to other rubbers at low temperatures, it has problems such as low tensile strength, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance.

   * Temperature range: -60℃~225℃

-Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPDM)

   Excellent resistance to direct sunlight, good flexibility at low temperatures, and excellent electrical insulation properties.

   EPDM can be submitted for approval by the National Health Service for use in drinking water.

   * Temperature range: -55℃~125℃

- Purple, FFKM material

   This is an ultra-high temperature O-ring that can be used for chemical resistance, cryogenic temperatures, high vacuum, and semiconductors. Please check the attached file for more details.
