Material Used: NBR70 (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber)

NBR, also known as BUNA N, is widely used in industrial applications due to its excellent resistance to petroleum-based fuels and lubricants. Its relatively low cost makes it one of the most commonly used rubber materials for sealing applications.

  • Standard Color: Black

  • Hardness Range: Shore A 50 to 90 (This product: Shore A 70)

  • Operating Temperature Range: -40℃ to +100℃

Recommended Operating Conditions for NBR

NBR materials perform reliably in the following environments:

  • Petroleum-based oils and fuels

  • Vegetable oils

  • Silicone-based oils and greases

  • Ethylene glycol

  • Diluted acids

  • Water below 100℃


Environments to Avoid

NBR is not suitable for all conditions. Avoid using it in the following environments:

  • Automotive brake fluids

  • Chlorinated hydrocarbons, ketones, ethers, and esters

  • Phosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids

  • Strong acids

  • Ozone, outdoor exposure, and direct sunlight

This ID 13.2 × 1.5T NBR70 O-ring was specially requested by the customer, as it is a non-standard size. Unlike similar and more commonly available sizes such as ID 13 × 1.5T or ID 13.5 × 1.5T, this particular size is less readily available.
